Reading summaries and water-credit reports are signed at attestation with a per-site Ed25519 private key. The signature binds the summarized values, sensor-ids, depths, and attestation timestamp into a single record, tamper-evident from signing forward.
The signed record becomes a node in a directed acyclic graph. Each node references one or more prior nodes by hash, forming a tamper-evident lineage. Unlike linear chains, DAG topology allows parallel writes from many sites without serialization bottlenecks.
Per-site attestations compute a Merkle root over their reading set. Partial verification is possible: a consumer can verify any single reading is in the attested set without receiving the full dataset.
A SGMA-certified auditor co-signs qualifying attestations. The co-signature is part of the chain and is independently verifiable by any third party. This makes the attestation independently verifiable and credit-eligible.
Every external verification access is logged. The grower sees who pulled their attestation, when, and what they requested. Transparency by design.
